BELLEVILLE – Charges have been laid against two men after a basement explosion on Jan. 11 in Trenton.
The explosion at 24 Annwood Court caused a fire that spread from the basement to the rest of the house and building. As a result of the explosion, a man was treated at the hospital with serious injuries, and a woman for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers from the Quinte West Crime Unit have charged 23-year-old Trenton man and a 21-year-old man from Ameliasburgh.
The two men have been charged with two counts of arson, as well as possession and production of marijuana.
Both are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, in Belleville on Feb. 25.
Further charges in connection with this incident are also pending.
