Baseball back in swing as Blue Jays take to the field Tuesday
BELLEVILLE – The Toronto Blue Jays will be back in action to help kick off Major League Baseball’s “Grapefruit League” on Tuesday.
“Grapefruit League” is a series of pre-season games run by Major League Baseball every spring in Florida and is a part of the league’s annual spring training. Spring training allows teams to try out new players to fill roster spots while letting their existing lineup prepare for the long season ahead.
The Jays take on the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. EST. Be sure to join the QNet News live chat about the Blue Jays’ chances this season on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
