Police deal with distressed woman on Bay Bridge

BELLEVILLE – A distressed young woman on the Bay Bridge resulted in the bridge being briefly closed and multiple 911 calls on Friday.
The incident happened during the busy afternoon drive time, about 4:30 p.m., according to Belleville Police.
The bridge was closed for 10 minutes while police dealt with the situation. They were able to reach the 19-year-old and took her to the hospital.
The police were helped by two people, a man and a woman, who were trying to the assist the young woman.
