Star Wars Craft Day attracts local kids to the Force
BELLEVILLE – There were plenty of kids using the Force on Wednesday at the Belleville Public Library.
The focus for the day was on Star Wars. It was part of a week long string of themed activities for March Break.
The library hosted a craft day for kids aged 4 to 12, with the critically-acclaimed franchise as the theme. Parents were invited to register for the day, which hosted two crafting events at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Kids were given materials to create various Star Wars related crafts, such as lightsabres, figurines and other related crafts. These crafts will be used for a party being hosted at the library on Friday of this week, where the kids will take part in learning how to be a Jedi.
QNet reporter Sean Cann-Sheppard attended Wednesday’s event and talked with participants and organizers about Star Wars and the events taking place on March Break. Here’s the story.
