Turtle conservation seminar coming to Trenton
By Olivia Timm and Lindsey Cooke
BELLEVILLE – Did you know that seven out of eight Ontario turtles species are on the endangered list as at risk?
Representatives from the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre in Peterborough will be speaking at the Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Trenton on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
The free seminar will educate the public on how to help endangered turtles, and there will be some live turtles for everyone to see.
The centre is a registered charity that protects and conserves Ontario’s native turtles and their habitat.
It operates a turtle hospital that treats, rehabilitates and releases injured turtles.
QNet News will have more about what you can do to help Ontario’s turtles.
