Veterans, soldiers, cadets, cubs, friends and family gathered in Trenton Thursday night to place hundreds of candles in memory of those lost on the eve of Remembrance Day.
The ceremonies featured a poem written and read by a cadet as well as musical interludes by local artists playing songs specifically written for this ceremony. The event was organized by the Canadian Legion Branch 110.
Cadets remained guarding the silent vigil throughout the night until Friday’s ceremony at 11 a.m.
